field views with any telescope type, and works particularly well for low power viewing with the f/6 to f/7 focal ratio small aperture refractors on altazimuth mounts that are so popular for
grab-and-go observing.

Its 35mm focal length gives you a wide 5mm to 6mm exit pupil with this type of refractor, for very bright images of open clusters and large and faint deep space nebulas and nebula
remnants. With the 560mm focal length of the 80mm f/7 Astro-Tech AT80ED refractor, for
example, it provides a stunning 4.25° field of view at 16x, with a bright 5mm exit pupil, ideal
for scanning the star clouds of Sagittarius. The 35mm Titan Type II ED's six-lens wide field ED optical design has the high contrast and bright images that make faint nebular wisps pop out against a very dark sky background, as well as showing you myriad subtle levels of contrast in bright nebulas. Pinpoint stars across the entire field make open clusters look like a handful of diamonds scattered across a black velvet cloth.
