Sirius Plossl Eyepieces Sirius Plossls are top-quality eyepieces with a wide 50º apparent field of view (43º on the 40mm). They give extremely sharp images of impressively high contrast and are ideal for al types of reflector, refractor and catadioptric telescopes. The Plossl 4-element design is renowned for its outstanding performance, and has in recent years become the standard by which all other eyepieces are judged.

The Sirius Plossl optical system is fully coated with a layer of antireflective magnesium flouride on every air-to-glass surface. Lens edges are blackened in the same way as expensive military optics to reduce any scattering of stray light and to maximise contrast. The lenses are mounted in black-anodised aluminium housings with chrome plated brass 1¼" barrels for durability and precision fit. Each barrel is internally threaded to accept standard filters. The built-in rubber eyeguards enhance viewing by helping to block out ambient light.
