SCS Astro Limited is one of the UK's leading suppliers of astronomical equipment. The
business is run by Anne and Kieron McGrath and has been trading since 1993. In April 1998
we opened our retail outlet, The Astronomy Shop, in Wellington, Somerset.

Based in the West Country, SCS Astro sells all over the world. Our customers include
amateur and professional astronomers, universities, colleges and observatory's. We
specialise in giving advice to beginners and those looking to make their first telescope
purchase. More importantly, we are amateur astronomers - we use the equipment we sell.

SCS Astro offers one of the widest range of telescopes available. We are dealers for Orion
Telescope & Binocular Center, Celestron, Tele Vue, Hutech/Borg, Helios, TAL, Skywatcher,
Burgess Optical, Astro-Tech, TMB and Meade. We can offer a telescope to satisfy all needs
and budgets.

As well as telescopes we sell a range of Microscopes and CCD cameras. As dealers for
Starlight Xpress we can offer the well known SXVF series of Integrating CCD
Cameras. We also offer a selection of WebCam's, Cooled CCD Cameras and Digital SLR
Cameras.

When it comes to accessories we can supply just about any piece of astronomical
equipment you could require. SCS Astro are authorised dealers for the following companies:
Orion Telescope & Binocular Center, Burgess Optical, Lumicon, Software Bisque, Sky &
Telescope, DayStar Solar Filters, Scope Armor, R.I.T.I, Lumicon, Baader Planetarium, Cersis
Astro, Willman-Bell, EarthWin, Farpoint Astronomical Research, Imaginova, AstroPix among
others.

Customers can see a selection of our products at our showroom in Wellington.
Opening hours are 10.00am to 5.00pm Monday through Friday.
We close for lunch 1.00pm to 2.00pm.
Open Saturday by appointment ONLY.
Closed Sunday.

Orders can be placed by phone, fax, email or via our secure online ordering system. We
accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch cards, bank transfers and UK sterling cheques made
