The polished brass optical tube houses a precision-made, fully coated 60mm achromatic lens
system designed for sharp, long-range viewing. Complementing the main optics are a
rack-and-pinion focuser and brass 6x30 correct-image finder scope in a dual-ring bracket. A
45° correct-image prism diagonal holds the multi-coated 25mm Plössl eyepiece (1.25") —
whose distinctive “teardrop” barrel is honed from solid brass — at a convenient angle for either
terrestrial or celestial forays at 36x magnification. Additional eyepieces are available for
higher
magnifications.

The telescope moves smoothly in altitude and azimuth on its stylish and stable all-brass
cradle mount. The extendable tripod legs are crafted from fine African mahogany, lacquered
seven times to an exquisite finish, and trimmed with polished brass joints, lock collars, and
stabilizing chain. And the final tripod touch: a brass placard engraved with the Aristocrat
name.
