Concept: Since portability and ease-of-use are design goals for all Tele Vue telescopes, we
developes alt-azimuth mounts which share those same goals. From the tele-Pod head for
camera tripods through the Gibraltar Mount, the Tele Vue yoke and cradle design offers
balanced, smooth motions. Tripod selection ranges from the extremely portable aluminium
Tele-Pod to the rock-solid wooden Gibraltar.

Complementing accessories add to the pleasure of using these mounts. All mounts can be
ordered with the Sky Tour computer factory installed or as an easily added accessory kit.
The
Eyepiece Caddy Set and Sky Tour Caddy Plate keep eyepieces and Sky Tour conveniently
located. And, the Gibraltar Carrying Bag easily holds the Gibraltar or Panoramic Mounts for
traveling - Al Nagler.

Smooth and Steady is the Key.
Supporting your telescope isn't enough, cradle it! Within a Tele Vue yoke and cradle head,
your telescope balances at its centre of gravity, seemingly “weightless” as you move about
the sky. Bearing surfaces of brass, anodized aluminium, and teflon provide the smooth feel
needed for accurate movements. For the Tele-Pod and Panoramic mounts a foam covered
handle (not shown) attached to the cradle provides ideal leverage.
Our Alt/Az tripods complement the travel friendly, easy-setup nature of Tele Vue scopes.
Alt/Az motions are far less cumbersome for visual observing compared to equatorial mounts,
and the eyepiece position always remains conveniently upright. There are no counterweights
or awkward parts to manage. And, with Sky Tour, electronic setting circles can be added to
these mounts.All the yoke and cradle heads along with all the wood tripods are made in
America.

Tele-Pod.
A complete, light-weight (3.2kg, 7lb) telescope mount featuring smooth alt-azimuth motions
and optional Sky Tour object locating capability. Perfect for our smaller, travel-easy
refractors.
Telescope height ranges from 71cm (28") to 157cm (62"). Aluminium tripod legs are 2-
section,
black and anodized and foam covered. Retractable rubber-tipped foot pads revela metal
ground
spikes. The adjustable height centre column can be reversed to permit standard ¼-20 photo
head use. A quick release knob removes the head from the centre column. With its built-in
azimuth bearing, the head can be used on any tripod. The head and tripod are offered
separately as well. We highly recommend the Eyepiece Caddy Set accessory since the
Tele-Pod Mount does not have a tray.

Panoramic Mount.
For more rigidity under heavier loads, we took the Tele-Pod head and adapted it to our fine
long standing Panoramic tripod. Since the Sky Tour encoder attachments points are within
the head itself, for the first time, the Panoramic mount is Sky Tour capable. The Panoramic
Mount is available in solid ash or beautiful walnut wood with brass fittings. It places the scope
approximately 91cm (36") to 152cm (60") high. Metal ground spikes with rubber tips are
provided. A central tray adds rigidity and a convenient platform for accessories. Weight 5kg
(11lb).

Gibraltar Mount.
Our longer, heavier 102mm (4") scopes are best matched to the rock-solid Gibraltar mount.
The larger bearing surfaces and thicker wood legs best handle the loads, especially for higher
power viewing. The Gibraltar tripods are American made in a choice of solid ash or walnut
wood for beauty and quick vibration dampening. Leg extensions raise the tripod height to
152cm (5ft), still ideally sized for use with our Air-Chair observing stool. An accessory tray
ties the legs together for rigidity. Weight 8.6kg (19lb).

Air Chair.
Now that we have your telescope standing, we want to get you sitting! You'll spend more time
lingering at the eyepiece when comfortably seated on Air Chair's soft and rotating seat. More
eyepiece time is more opportunity to spot subtle details. Ideal height range with a lever flick,
for all Tele Vue scopes and mount combinations. Allows tripods to be used at their most
stable heights.

Sky Tour.
All heads are pre-drilled for easy installation of Sky Tour. Or, order your mount with the Sky
Tour installed. The computer is easy to learn and features a printed database for planning
your
sky tour.

Eyepiece Caddy Set.
These sleek little brackets attach with thumb screws, to the yoke arms of all Tele Vue mount
heads, keeping your eyepieces safely and conveniently at your fingertips. The set holds three
1¼" and two 2" eyepieces. The 2" holes have removeable 1¼" inserts as well.
The Eyepiece Caddy Set is highly recommended for all our mounts. The Panoramic and
Gibraltar accesory trays are great, but they don't hold your eyepieces securely, like a Caddy,
if your tripod gets bumped in the night! And once you experience the convenience of having a
Caddy, bending to reach for an eyepiece will seem like a big inconvenience! The Tele-Pod
does not offer a place to hold eyepieces. so the handy caddies will be a truly welcomed
addition.The Caddy brackets are made of 3/8" thick aluminium and are powder coated for
extra durability.

Sky Tour Caddy Plate.
The Sky Tour Caddy Plate mounts to the end of either Eyepiece Caddy bracket and keeps
the
Sky Tour control/display unit at your fingertips.

Carry Bag.
The extra large Carry Bag is big enough to hold the Gibraltar or Panoramic Mounts with their
heads in place. made of padded Nylon, the carry bag is a convenient and safe way to travel
with your mount. The Eyepiece Caddy Set must be removed from the head, but can be
packed in the Carry Bag. The tripod tray must be carried separately.
