Compact Instruments for High-Power Viewing
Sky-Watcher tabletop telescopes, equipped with a 13" high tabletop equatorial mount are
probably the most portable star-tracking telescopes available. The mount possesses all the
features of a standard sized equatorial mount. It can also be fitted with a single-axis motor
drive (Prod. Code 449) for hands-free tracking. The short lengths of these telescopes ensure
stable images even under high powers. A convenient padded carrying-bag comes as standard

The Sky-Watcher SKYHAWK models feature shorter, more compact telescope tube lengths
resulting in lighter-weight telescopes of excellent convenience and portability. They are a
particularly good choice of instrument for the more serious novice astronomer wanting larger
aperture and increased performance at a relatively low cost. The Catadioptric-Newtonian
model is a Newtonian reflector with a correcting lens mounted within the focuser, resulting in a

The compact Sky-Watcher STARTRAVEL series are two-element, air-spaced, multi-coated
objective, achromatic refractors, and are well proven performers for ‘Rich-Field’ views of star
fields, clusters, nebulae, bright galaxies, planets, the Moon and, the Sun (with correct safety
filtering!), as well as giving excellent terrestrial views. These wide-field, short-tube telescopes
are also highly portable. They also are popular for use as guide scopes on larger telescopes.
