DayStar Solar Filters.

DayStar Filters are the industry standard in narrow bandpass astronomical solar filters. For
decades, professional observatories and universities worldwide have counted on the superior
quality and performance of DayStar filters. They can be found in the world's major educational
institutions and research facilities, both terrestrial and flown.

Designed to mount on the REAR of your existing telescope, the DayStar design is adaptable
to a wide variety of astronomical telescope systems.
DayStar's unique technology achieves narrower bandpasses for a more detailed image.
Combined, these design differences accomplish the highest quality view in contrast and
resolution possible, limited only by seeing or diffraction.

DayStar ultra-narrow bandpass filters are available in half-bandwidth as wide as 10Å or as
narrow as 0.2Å in the following wavelengths:

Hydrogen Alpha
Calcium H and K Line
Sodium D Line
Custom wavelengths available upon request.

Chose Quality with DayStar!
* Don't be tied to 60 or 90mm. Observe at any aperture.
* Full disk or sub arc-second. DayStar filters are only seeing limited.
* Easy "no power needed" or 12VDC applications make setup easy.
* Experience the very best in Solar Observing for a fraction of what you would expect.

Used by the Best:
DayStar bandpass filters can be found in all the finest professional observatories in the world,
Big Bear, Keck, Griffith, Canary Islands, NASA.
DayStar Filters have been used on all this equipment:
TeleVue Pronto, Astrophysics 6" Refractor, C-8 SCT, Space Shuttle.

Narrower Bandpass means more detail:
In Solar filters, narrower is better. A DayStar can show more than prominence and spicule.
Go narrower with 0.6, 0.5, 0.4 0r even 0.3 angstroms to see surface detail in the
chromosphere. Active or not, the Sun is always interesting - with the right filter.

New Designs, New Wavelengths, New Owners ...
Under new onership since 2005, our new policy is to incorporate existing technology, while
exploring ways to improve the observers experience. The magic of the DayStar ultra-narrow
bandpass optics is just as impeccable today as for the last 30 years. The new philosophy is
about a more user-friendly, dynamic experience with the observer in mind.
